About our prints

All prints sold in The River Gallery are produced from high resolution digital files, using Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper and Ultrachrome archival quality inks. Prints are mounted on rigid, lightweight FomeCor, and matted with white acid-free conservation-quality board. With proper care – framed behind glass to protect them from atmospheric contaminants, and displayed out of direct sunlight – they will last for decades without noticeable fading.

However, as we have no control over the conditions under which prints will be displayed, and as all dyes change over time, no absolute guarantee against fading can be given.

Each print includes a reproduction of the author’s signature, a title in his or her handwriting, and a subtle ‘TRG’ logo. (This is in the white border of the print, as above – it’s not the watermark in the image as seen on this site.) Prints are produced in open editions, except, of course, Limited Editions. Frames are solid timber, and as with all natural materials, some variation in colour occurs – but the sample above is representative. They are supplied fitted with steel D-rings and either cord or cable for hanging, depending on size. The mounted prints are held firmly in the frame by Flexpoint tabs, allowing easy and safe removal, if you should wish to change the frame in the future. To minimise the possibility of breakage in transit, framed prints are supplied with perspex in place of glass.

Please note that, although every effort has been made to accurately reproduce the photographs on these pages, due to variations in computer operating systems, the way different browsers render colours, and the effects of aging on monitors, the colours in our prints may vary from the way they appear on this site – but we think you’ll find they’re actually better...

A note about the watermarks...

The images of our prints on this site have had visible watermarks added as a deterrant against Internet piracy. Please be assured that your prints will not have these watermarks present.

Downloading images from, or linking to images on, the Internet and using them without their owner’s permission is stealing. Please respect the authors’ intellectual property – this is how they make their living! Please also be advised that any breach of the copyright in the images on this site is an offence punishable under law, and will be vigorously prosecuted.
